Corgen has no boundaries

Almost as soon as Corgen begun to strip Tempest of all its valuables Jargon and Corgen began to talk. The Lord Director of New Blood spoke via letters to the Corgen leader, General Sparks. The LD questioned the motives of Sparks by reminding him of an earlier agreement the two Enemies had worked on in the past. A New Blood official speaks to us on the subject.

Official: "Although the New Blood alliance has many enemies the Lord Director recognizes a more pressing threat. While the Arkendrosian alliances fight their battles with each other another power moves closer and closer to tearing apart the people. The Kingdom of the Fallen has been increasing its aggressive actions across the world. They have taken all of mainland Meoldolen and the forest of Meridor, The Aquatic elven home of Deamod Bweling, West Becorone and Baath the capital of Lorace. They are also in the process of taking The Island kingdom of Chee. The Fallen have been more successful at taking ground and making an impact than any other Alliance of Arkendrose since their re-conception eight years ago. They are a more urgent problem that we should all be focused on."

We here at the Arkendrosian agree that the Fallen could end up at our door one day as well but this is not the opinion of everyone. Much of the world still sees their vengeance burning too bright. One Trister resident remarks;

Celtican: "If the Fallen come we will deal with them or we will fight with our allied nations against them. I, however, will never forgive New Blood for what they did to my family and my home. Their acts will go punished regardless of the demon nation. We will have our vengeance!"

While it is obvious that the hostile acts committed from alliance to alliance have made deep scars, the Lord Director of New Blood is still pushing to concern New Blood with a more pressing matter. General Sparks has agreed to work on removing the Fallen from both the Eastern Alliance lands and New Blood Lands. If Sparks will actually follow through with the agreement is a question left for history to tell. Currently, Corgen has pulled out of Tempest and has returned half of the stolen goods. Sparks had this to say on the other half.

Sparks: The other half is "Security and Occupation TAX"

The war in West Coastaar rages on

The conflict in West Coastaar has lasted almost two years now. Two major battles have been fought thus far and the lines remain the same. Coastaar's armies have remained on and around the great wall that spans from sea to sea. New Bloods forces on or around the north side of the same wall. This conflict shows little signs of slowing as of now. Emperor Bazavier has recently been named General of West Coastaar operations by New Blood's Lord Director. Bazavier brings an iron fist to this war. His plans have led to the defeat of Sir Red. Although his own army was defeated Emperor Bazavier was quoted as having said he is not worried. "In my eyes, the defeat of Sir Red and the losses taken by Darklorth are worth my defeat."

Currently, Darklorth is moving west to the King Deagon and Lord Solvo's location. General Cascis of the Empire of Coastaar is also on the move east to the same location. Mistmoor rushes to assist Deago and Solvo from just due west of Darklorth's current location. Solvo is repositioning his troops so not to be crushed in between the two. As these giants collide we here at the Arkendrosian will bring you the scoop so keep on reading.

The Interview or Lord Solvo Ter'ak

I arrived at the combined New Blood/Similan camp optimistic and eager to meet the conquistador Lord Solvo Ter'ak. As I approved the war tent were Lord Solvo was I heard a load and frustrated voice booming from inside. For the words, I caught the man inside was very angry about almost everything. Still eager to meet the man I had heard so much about I entered the tent. What I saw before me was a disturbing figure; a powerful being standing eight feet tall. He was wearing a black crush velvet cloak that covered his head and a porcelain mask over his face. Only his yellow and black eyes were visible. I was taken by the man's appearance and heavy sent of rose perfume and death. This must be him I thought.

Valin: "It is nice to finally meet you Lord Solvo. I have heard so much about you."

Solvo: "Valin I take it the Arkendrosian sent you to do an interview about what's going on, on the front lines? Dralnu will be doing a check as a precaution to confirm you are an Arkendrosian reporter if that is ok with you. Our enemies are as craft as ever and it would not be below them to do such un-honorable actions. I sent someone to let you in hours ago yet they have not come back... I apologize on their behalf."

Valin: "That is quite all right. I am who I say I am but I can understand the precaution. Now let's get started shall we?"

Solvo: "Yup."

Valin: "Well first thing is first. I believe the people want to know why you here?"

Solvo: "I find that it is my duty as a New Blood lord to aid Beckerone's defense. This country has been fighting for so long for the alliance and it is not yet their time to fall, especially to the drow. I am not here seeking glory I am here to show the new side of Simila to show them their world is bigger than four islands. Our nation will grow and prosper in the coming years and I believe this will be directly influenced by our outward expansion into world politics.

Valin: "So it is those who destroyed Simila in the first place that you chose to within the world stage?"

Solvo: "I do not believe that is an appropriate question."
Dralnu interjects: "salvo this man is biased."
Solvo: "If you wish for an interview it is best not to try and insult the person you are interviewing.
As a man of the people, I will answer this question regardless of how unprofessional it may seem. Newblood has made some bad decisions in the past the atrocities are not forgotten. My goal with Newblood is to make Simila a nation of neutrality. We must have our hands in all the right cookie jars in order to receive the best bounty."

Valin: " I do not think these questions unprofessional. If the people want or dissever the answers to the questions I ask then it is my job to give it to them. If these questions are offensive to you perhaps you should look at yourself. So you side with the murders of your people for profit?"

Dralnu interjects: "you would dare disrespect the people of Simila?"
Salvo : "Your attempts of spreading unnecessary shit smearing propaganda are pathetic. You insult me. Do you suggest that I am doing this for personal gain? What could I possibly achieve? I earn nothing from Simila but a title, I am their lord so I do everything I can to secure a way of life. This interview will be very short if this is the way it is going."

Valin: "I do not disrespect the people of Simila. I merely ask if he thinks he has. I ask why he does what he does. He has only to answer the questions and explain himself. As he just has. Do you not think the question valid when the people who's banner he runs are the very same who destroyed old Simila? I would think this question to be valid and understood. But if you wish it not of me to ask then I will move on... What does do you lord Solvo think about your opposition. Clearly, they are enemy to the world. But do you hold any respect for your foe or compassion to their people?"

Solvo: My respect for the Coastaar alliance is limited. To my knowledge, a majority of the citizens worship damnation and willingly enlist into a military that uses its people as sacrifices to the god of darkness. I cannot respect these people and have grown intolerant of the drow community. Not to say all drow are evil but as a whole, they do not offer much to the society of the world as a whole. As for compassion I feel as if there is nothing I can do to help them. I watched my own kind slaughtered ruthlessly regardless if they were worshipers or not. All my compassion goes to those who were executed and or sacrificed to an evil entity; Drow or necromancer alike."....

.. ..

Valin: "And what do you think of the campaign thus far. Do you see victory in the near future or is there something in the way of that goal?"

Solvo: "War is slow and tedious. After two years we all stand looking back at each other. I will be one of the first to admit my lack of experience is holding me back from doing things, but I believe I'm learning fast. Bazavier is taking some actions but we have not initiated direct combat. I can only imagine what D.E.S.O and the other armies of costar are doing. As of right now, I don't understand why we have not made any large-scale maneuvers but it is not my place to make these and as a loyal lord, I will wait for the emperor's orders."

Valin: "Do you think you could do a better job than the Emperor?"

Solvo: "I may not understand his ways but I have full trust in him that he will do what is best for the better of our people; New Blood and Similin alike. Like I have stated before, I am ill-experienced in the art of war to say that I would be a better leader. That would not only be heresy but foolish. I believe the emperor knows what he is doing."

Valin: "So you say you have full faith in your leaders. Is this the same with the current Lord Director? Do you believe his passive action is the right path for the people of New Blood?"

Solvo: "As many have known that spot has been changing hands like a silver piece. New blood has had trouble finding a superior leader. Many things I have been promised have been overlooked for some time now and the results in the last few years are limited. I think he is learning the ropes just as I am but on a much grander scale but I believe there is hope for him. I would like to apologise for any that I have offended in saying this."

Valin: "Ok last question. Do you think that Simila's involvement with New Blood will prove to be beneficial or will it become something more like an alliance?"

Solvo: "In the past, before the crown was worn I would push for New Blood 110% but in order to keep the nation from a civil war, I have stated before we must have our hands in all the right cookie jars. To please the people of Simila and the lords we must maintain a neutral balance between New Blood and Star Alliance. We have the start of what could be an economic superpower, and a culturally rich society as well as a safe haven for persecuted races. I did notice the disgust in your eyes as you entered this tent and I find it disturbing. I understand I am different but I have a lot to offer this world and I will not let my body hold me back from immortality. This world is a cold place. Maybe Simila will be the spark we need. It was nice speaking with you Valin. And I hope you have a better idea of who I am. Of course, I believe it's beneficial otherwise I would not be here. I see no confrontation in the future between Star Alliance and New Blood supporters of Simila. Similins will never fight Similins over this issue and I am glad to have a neutral king that understands that. Ilkana and I have worked together in the past even though we have conflicting views we have to hell and back quite literally in a common goal. She has gained alot of respect from me in the past year and will make a great leader for Simila."

Valin: "Thank you for your time."

General Sparx gathers a group of heroes to destroy a Hell Spire

General Sparx sent a wanted notice to the Arkendrosian to be published in the newsletter. The letter asked for the assistance of those willing to destroy a Hell Spire for money. The first three to reply to the letter via Sprite Mail were made the leaders of the mission. Sir Liam Blacksloak, knight of the Star, Lord Malro Corrole, Baron of Valahn, Knight of Arkendrose and Pvt Vincent Harlen of the Star Alliance Special Forces. Many answered the call to arms as it was re-advertised at Simila's great coronation. The group was transported to the Isle of Lasellease at Corgen's expense were they traveled to Hell Spire on foot.

The group was lucky to avoid the spire's main force that was on an attack run in nearby Delta City. Before the party got close to the spire they were greeted by a Star Alliance soldier. The soldier had been scouting it out for some time. He gave what information he could then returned to his leaders for debriefing. The party then continued their travels eastward to the wooded area that sat between them and their target. By this time the Zunn had set and the light of it had left the island. Sources tell us they were greeted by a cloaked man who escorted them to the demon tower. All other events that took place within the Hell Spire are still under investigation. All that is know is the mission was a success. As the party emerged from the tree line the Hell Spire Collapsed.

Further rumors were heard about a missing link to the puzzle. It would seem they believed they missed something. What that is we do not yet know.

Crown Prince Arxis Da'rtangon sends his army to war at baron's pleading

The people of Simila have entered their holy month of Romadon. The time of fasting, Sacra worship and night time feasts has begun just a little over a week ago. The mosques are filled with worshipers during the day and the streets are alive with joy as the Zunn sets and the moon is shining. This did not, however, halt the Baron's request to send Simila to war.

Lord Solvo Ter'ak has been fighting in West Coastaar with permission from the other barons for over two years now. His forces are about to enter combat once again. The son of the late Lord Vin Mordigen of Nahlistan, Dralnu Modigen has recently returned to Simila. Since he arrived he met with Druger Nahlistan's regent and keeper of the Sword Sage and the Sword of Nahlistan. Druger gave Dralnu his father's sword and will be crowning him baron at the coronation. Dralnu then went to Ju'sem to speak to Crown Prince Arxis on the matter of assisting Lord Solvo. Lady Ilkana along with the royal advisor Lord Demethyl have already agreed on the matter of supporting Similan soldiers at war with the army of Simila. Prince Arxis has delivered the order to his people that Simila is to go to war against the Empire of Coastaar. Currently, the army is mobilizing to support the lone Baron's efforts.

The new King of Simila
Fri 2, 1009 AA a large gathering was held to crown the nation's youngest lord, King of Simila. People from far and wide showed to offer their support to the new king. Before he was crowned king Lord Arxis held a Tournament in which he observed. The winner of this event was a young Star Alliance soldier by the name of Vincent Harlen. The Crown Prince later held court to chose the champion of from among the participants in the tournament. He chose a man called Boom. Boom did not take first in the tournament, in fact, he took fifth. The prince likely chose this champion for political reasons. The statement seemed clear. Simila is a neutral nation. The champion should remain an un-bias representative of the people.
Among the festivities, many courts were held. Sir Zervia Hok knighted Malro Corolee a Knight of Arkendrose. He later Knighted Lord Arxis Knight of Honor. The late baron of Nahlistan's son, Lord Dralnu Mordigen, was made baron in his stead. Sir Lance of the KOA arrived to knight a known threat Zandarious. At these events completion, Prince Arxis was crowned king of Simila. He was then given gifts by the barons and Noctair Dorvoxin. Noctair was what we consider the reason Lord Arxis is now King Arxis. We look forward to seeing more of him in the future. Darkness Falls and Hell Trembles
The armies of Darklorth and Lord Cascis marched northeast to the gap in the wall. The gap holds the combined forces of Lord Solvo Ter'ak baron of AEbin, Lord Percious of Mistmoor and King Deago of Beckorone. As the armies neared a great orb of impenetrable darkness collapsed around them. The two armies soon engaged the New Blood force. The screams of battle could be heard but no onlooker could see the destruction. Lord Solvo requested that Percious remove his force from combat. Solvo's army became the only force combating the two forces. Lord Ter'ak himself disappeared into the darkness.
During the battle, the ground began to shake. A roar was heard from behind the battle. A strong red glow also became visible behind the darkness. We at the Arkendrosian have not yet been able to see what is it that looms behind the battle. We assure you we are doing everything we can to do so.

Sep 1009 AA

A Fallen attack on Short, Ral; thwarted by Lord Solvo Ter'ak.

Lord Solvo Removed instructed his undead army to hold out their hands. He then instructed them to remove a figure and place it in one of the many sacks that were being dragged in front of them by AEben troops. He then cast his clones and had them take the sacks. All of the Solvo's then disappeared. Shortly after, Solvo is reported to have appeared in Sort, Ral. Short is a region of the Dukedom of Ral which is the last free-standing land of the Kingdom of Meoldolen.

Meoldolen has been without a King for years. The King, Lucifer Spite, has gone missing. On occasion, he would make heroic guest appearances in Meodolen at the time of Fallen attacks. When he did arrive he halted the Fallen advances often pushing them back. Now the visits from the king have stopped altogether and Meoldolen is on its last legs. The Count of Meoldolen, Lucifer's brother, has since become a god and is incapable of leading them. All that stands before the Fallen and total destruction of Meoldolen is the Dukedom of Ral. Ral is lead by Duke Slim. It is widely known that Slim is from another world. He is currently not in Arkendrose. The Duke left his advisor Vadoris III in charge of the nation's defense.

The Stewart of Meoldolen has continued to assist in the nation's defense anyway he can. He launched several scouting missions into mainland Meoldolen to judge the Fallen strength and anticipate their movements. Of the team sent into the forest of Meridor only one returned to tell the tale. "Lord Tragamore is coming to Short." The lord of Short mobilized his undead force to halt the advance of the smaller Fallen force, but the Fallen have a card not found him a necromancer's deck. The Horde is unbeatable by necromancy. The flying demons quickly began their steady destruction of Short until Lord Solvo's arrival.

Lord Solvo and the other Solvo's appeared south Short. The Solvo's screamed out their call of conjuration. Thousands of Minions stood up from the ever-growing piles of corpses made by the fingers in the sacks. The undead formed a defensive line at the orders of their masters. Tragamore's army turned to compensate for the presence of Solvo. Solvo instructed his lines to hold out their arms and release black magic missiles on the advancing army and their Horde. Within minutes Tragomore's army was routed. Tragamore through in the white flag and withdrew his demon army from battle. Lord Solvo then met with the Lord of Short.

Back in West Coastaar much of Solvo's army disappeared. But when Solvo returned the armies numbers were returned to its former status in the same way they left.

Darklorth swallows his pride!

....................

The next great battle in the war in West Coastaar did not take place as we were expecting. Darklorth's army arrived at the end of the east portion of the wall overlooking the gap in the stone structure. For about a year King Deago and Lord Solvo have stayed in between the gap. Today Darklorth saw with his own eyes the military might of AEbin. AEbin's baron commands an impressive number of undead soldiers as well as his own living troops. Solvo's formation along with the advancing Mistmoor army proved to be too much of a challenge for even the great Darklorth.

Darklorth noted his opposition and redirected his men away from the prepared armies of Beckorone and AEbin. Darklorth's army disappeared behind the wall on the Empire side later that day. Lord Solvo was notably irritated by the lack of conflict. Pick up your next issue of The Arkendrosian for the Baron's personal comments on the matter.

.The Second Battle of Bacven Gate

For months now the New Blood forces at Bacven gate have been speculating possible empire tunneling operations under the wall. The first to form this opinion was Lord Solvo Ter'ak the Baron of AEbin.

New Blood Official: "Solvo has made an educated guess based off of Coastaarian history. But history is not enough to take dangerous action."

Solvo's low status in the grand scheme of the alliance left him virtually unheard until about a month ago when the Emperor of Sycon paid the West Coastaar operation a visit. During the emperor's brief Lord Solvo's idea was brought to his attention. Immediately the Emperor was eager to act but all actions were shot down by New Blood's Lord Director, soon after many scouting missions in sued. After a month of searching the truth was found. New Blood scouts found a tunnel inside one of the Empire's grand pavilion tents. With this information, the Sycon Emperor and the Mistmoor Detachment Commander Percious were free to act.....

Early in the morning before Zunn rise, Mistmoor attacked from a mist on the eastern flank of the Coastaar camp. The defenses were caught off guard. Undead Minions made up the main line of Mistmoor's offense supported by militia and Sycon archer legions. Sycon cavalry flanked the camp from the west with liberated Destruction Mages. ....

As the attacks begun at the camp so did General Darklorth's counter-attack. Four explosions rang out across the wall as wholes were made in the wall and ground. Coastaar took to the wall with vengeance in their souls. Sir Red guarded the camp while Darklorth led the charge against Bacven Gate. In less than three days the wall was returned to dark empire hands.....

Sycon was ordered to retreat while Mistmoor still waged an effective campaign against Sir Red. Sycon's troops have pulled back and are currently relocating. As of now, this marks another unsuccessful New Blood campaign.

Tempest of Tempest

For almost two years the nation of Corgen has occupied the Jargon city of Tempest. Due to high military tension at Calmar and fighting in West Coastaar, new Blood has been unable to respond to the occupation. Instead, there was a shaky agreement between Jargon and Corgen. Recently the occupying force of Corgen has been tearing the city apart taking whatever they can find of value and shipping it back to Corgen. Our sources believe this action was brought about by growing defiance and a possible rebellion by the people of the city against its captors. Currently, there is no word from New Blood officials on how they will respond.

The Crown Prince of Simila

The Crown Tournament of Simila was concluded on 11 Apr 1009 AA. The Barons and Baronesses competed and sent their champions to the fortress of Simila to compete in the event that would decide the next king or queen of Simila. The Baron of AEbin along with his team of Sadenmarow, Solibus and Fann Mordigen fought for AEbin. Drueger championed for Nahlistan with Gnome as its true supporter. Also supporting Nahlistan was Pv2, Zack Korhane, and Takao. Standing in for the Baron of Vah'lan was the Champion Vazgar Dor'voxin, Noctair Dorvoxin, and Pv2 Perina. Lady Ilkana Kietaro with her true Supporter Demethyl Heltalani and two others; Malro Corlai and Ciearra Nazratt.

.. ..

The Four Baronies competed in a mind-boggling battle. At the final event, Vahlan was in first followed by Ju'sem then AEbin and finally Nahlistan. Vahlan dominated the Spells and abilities and limited tournaments. Ju'sem was a constant force in the tournament and won the unlimited grand melee. AEbin destroyed the racial ability events and Nahlistan made a strong showing in the end. At the tournament's conclusion only one barony stood with its head held high. The Barony of Vahlan was the victor and its barong will be crowned king if Simila.

.. ..

Lord Arxis D'Artangon now Crown Prince Arxis will be coroneted sometime within the next few years. The exact date of the coronation will be provided when the information is made available to us. Prince Arxis is gathering his personal belongings and moving to the nation's capital Ju'sem city. He will be living in the grand palace of Simila from now on.

.. ..

In other news, Queen Sir Ilkana Kietaro Knighted Liam Blackcloak into the Star Alliance Knight order, the Knights of the Star. Liam will now be known as Sir Liam Blackcloak and his men will now be delivered into new hands. Who those hands will be we have only to wait and see.

The Champion Returns

Valin

Today the people of Snoe, Lasanda got to speak to the champion of the Sabbath Rheylin Ash. Rheylin had gone missing shortly after the Sabbath Tournament and had not been seen until now. Ash arrived by ship and was greeted by an eager crowd of fans. When I asked him where he had been he did not answer. He appeared to have been somehow affected by his journey. His hair for the first time since Rhey first appeared in the Arkendrosian some years ago. Rheylin also looked to be much healthier after his disappearance. I asked him one more question before I left to the printers.

Valin: "Do you have any advice for our readers?"

Rheylin Ash: "Eat your vegetables!"

In other news, there has been a rumor that the actual Tournament of the Sabbath may not take place this year. The organization who usually runs the tournament, Blackwell and Wheeler, says there is a lack of funding. Last year's Sabbath was well founded and the turnout was outstanding. So why the lack of funding this year?

Blackwell and Wheeler: "The tournament grounds require dramatic changes before every Sabbath. Every year since the tournament moved to Ishstarr we have had to spend millions of pieces to pull off the festivities. This year the money ran short. Perhaps there will be no Sabbath tournament this year; we are unsure.

I got a chance to sit down with the recent Sabbath Champ Rheyllin Ash. Here is my exclusive interview with the hero we now all know and love.

Valin: "Well I hope this will be profitable. It will be hard to beat the latest article on Dyre Mindredence. In hindsight, you are a bit more of a celebrity then he is. The people hardly knew of him until his interview. You people know. You're like a household name. Well, enough of that. let's get down to business shall we (rhetorical?) First things first, the question that's on all of our minds. Where have you been this last year?"

Rheyllin: smiles. "Traveling the world! After the tournament, I seemed to have gained fame. I wanted to go out and let people know I wasn't a mindless fighter that happened to win. I wanted the people to know I appreciated their support. And it being right after magic returned to the world, I also decided to see things not many people get to see. All in all, it's been a great year"

Valin: "Are there any places you have seen in your absence that our readers could enjoy themselves?"

Rheyllin: contemplates for a moment. "I have been a large fan of the country of Bri for a long time now. The people and the history and their codes of living are something that is unique to them. I taught combat there for a short time, at the tower, and I believe these people are blessed by the god of battle himself. Maeldolin..." a pause and a break in the positive demeanor, "Maeldolin has undergone some tragic changes. I aided them in the past and still hope to aid them in the future. I count Lady Ures as a dear friend and Lord Ures also. What has happened to their land I can only pray that vengeance is placed upon the heads of the fallen. When that land is recaptured from the evil vexation of the fallen, it will return to a safe and loving place."

Valin: "In your absence did you work to aid in the protection of the people of Meoldolen? Or were you doing something ells heroic and righteous for another part of Arkendrose?"

Rheyllin: smiles "My exploits aren't as large as Lucifer Spite's who I fought along with in Maeldolin or Liam Blackcloak, who fights tirelessly in the name of good and justice. Nothing commendable, I help where I can when I can."

Valin: "You seem to have a lot of praise for these people yet most believe you can be placed within that category. Those two are Champions of the Sabbath and so are you. Surely you have the ability to help the dying people of Meoldolen? From what I hear you call yourself a Demon Slayer is that correct?"

Arkendrosian Interviews one of its own

Part Brood Demon and part Vampire, Dyre Mindredence is one of our most controversial staff reporters. Hailing from his home city of Lothelace, Florence he is direct family to the wealth of the Mindredence Corp. Shunned by nature by the Star Alliance and often hunted for his race by the Demon Slayers. Dyre has left his portion of wealth and power to spread a word of wisdom to this war-torn world; Good takes many forms.

Dyre sits tall with broad shoulders. He always faces were he speaks. He has a commanding nature to his demeanor. He rarely breaks eye contact. I couldn't help but get the impression the guy has... seen it all. Between his continuous persecutions and the risk of his line of work to break from the cozy family business to be where the people are.

The Akendrosian: So, why exactly did you choose journalism over money and power?

Dyre Mindredence: The wars our world has been locked in is a constant violence. We may all be man, elf, demon, friend or foe, but what we are as one mass culture. What we can't seem to grasp is the fact we are all living breathing sentient beings. We are only captivated by idea of might over right. Not by the fact we are rational people.

TA: Rational People? That seems like a mixed message. Didn't you just say we operate as a "mass culture" of "might over right?"

DM: Oh. [laughs] I can explain. I don't believe the individual is really responsible for all this violence. I was blessed to be born a Mindredence into a life of comfort. I was raised with love and support and quite frankly everything I needed. As I matured, I quickly realized the turmoils of a basic living being of Arkendrose. This is someone who needs to worry if constant war will end up on their doorstep. Relying on a self-interested government to protect them, when they must, in addition, spend their every day working to eat, keep a home, and overall care for their family. This is why I have always given praise to the Star Alliance, for their motives have not only have been in the best interest of their very people, but also for the people of the world ultimately. It isn't the individual that isn't rational. It's these delusional leaders and these damn crazy heavyweight adventurers. These influence the masses. Honestly, can you say they are doing a very good job?

TA: What a mouthful. It is an interesting stance to take for the Star Alliance, who openly discredits your support for their cause.

DM: [Laughing Again] Oh, they'll tolerate me from time to time. But no seriously, I can still respect that. For one, they practice what they preach. They believe rumors of an alleged shady background that has been cast on my family and therefore on myself. No matter what kind of support my family or I could offer, they would never shake our hands in agreement. They stand by their own code of honor and that, my friend, is a force in this world you can respect. Second, they are not stupid. I can justify my good intentions all I want but I have no reason to look good in their eyes. Being a Vampire and a Brood Demon is a hard promise to sell, especially when it is usually things of my nature the bears down upon them constantly from the corners of our world. I don't think of it as any kind of persecution, more as the reality of our times. They simply can't afford to consider me more than they already do. I understand.

TA: So Dyre, as a Cron worshiper, how do you feel about all the recent advancements of weapon technology over the years?

DM: What advancements?

TA: Non-regenerating arrows and the new Varrisious Velocity Cannons are some examples.

DM: Well, the arrows are a Star Alliance creation. The Cannon was an advancement made by the Empire of Coastaar. Both forces have been fighting for a substantial amount of time now and one must consider that war will evolve like anything else. For a world like ours that is so problematic and uneasy, war is a natural element. It has always been the catalyst for a new better place to reside. It could create perhaps a pleasurable world to live in. Maybe an appropriate god is to be thanked then, but it would unwise to neglect to acknowledge, Cron. Just as a child cannot grow without challenge, neither can any of us without Cron.

TA: Do you think that it is possible a number of military advancements could render a side to be virtually unstoppable by a non-divine force?

DM: Not really. With the state that the world is in today, Cron is one of our most prominently powerful gods. Something that could tip the balance that much is most defiantly under his divine supervision.

TA: Are not weapons under Roshna's divine supervision?

DM: Weapons specifically, yes. Roshna should be given thanks for this, but we must remember that a weapon is a very neutral force that can be used to hunt or murder without a representation of a side. Neither of these things attributed to war. War is an inevitable process of the universe that becomes prominent with the rise of social peoples. Weapons, death, pain, battle, or even things like chance can spawn from war. The question was military advancements, not weapons. I could only assume what an army is able to actually obtain can only be controlled by Cron and I can only speculate on the depth of Cron himself. Honestly, if you want better detail on this, you should feel free to talk to a local Priest of Cron in your area.

TA: Okay, Dyre. Let's talk fashion. I can't help but notice you dress like quite a star for such a humbled journalist.

DM: Oh. Yes, I do like to look good. I would have to say I might have been raised with taste. Seeing as how we were talking about inevitable forces of the universe, dressing well for me personally may have to fall into that category. Also, it breaks away from an age-old style that we have seen all too much: combat gear. Plus, if it wasn't a vice of mine, I would continue to do it for one good reason. I am not a monster. Sometimes carrying a civilized demeanor about me does not communicate my intentions properly. Sometimes in a hostile area, I need to be speaking before I ever open my mouth.

TA: It sounds like your races hinder you sometimes. Are you telling me you get flak from directions other than the Demon Slayers?

DM: The Demon Slayers are bigots. I can understand defending your home, alliance or your god, but Demon Slayers are rogue combatants who represent nothing other than the extermination of their two hated races. I am sure they all have their own stories of why they are in the group and why they are justified, but would that just kill me dead where I sit now? Yes, they would and that would be murder. One of their own, Vazgar Dorvoxin, has succeeded in doing just that and luckily it wasn't permanent. Their cause is delusional. I can go on and on about them, but the problems I have discovered with that group go much deeper than their front that they call the Demon Slayers. You asked if I receive "flak" as you called it from other directions. The answer is yes, but nothing ever organized enough as the Demon Slayer's, therefore, it's never something I can't prevent on my own.

TA: You called out Vazgar. Are there any other Demon Slayer's that have given you more trouble than others?

DM: Not really. Most Demon Slayers have had the decency to at least prioritize my murder further down the list of other demons or vampires. Ilkana, on the other hand, I find to be a repressed sweetheart and I have no idea what she is doing in the group. Vazgar, has openly displayed disgust for my Mindredence name. I honestly don't know where to begin with people. Vazgar has also openly displayed disgust with his very own Dorvoxin name. I would almost think he had a complex with names if he didn't work for a Heltalani. Who is Demaethyl Heltalani that works for his Heltalani name in big business? Another group that slanders the races of the Mindredence name to gain an advantage in competitive business. Demaethyl of all people is responsible for killing countless civilians of innocent nations by the hundreds and thousands to include women and children. Then he never received any political repercussions! No apologies or justice has ever been delivered. We are talking about large-scale terrorist attacks in Mealdolin, Shimabora, and Ishstarr. He openly lives and runs a business in Ishtarr of all places. I have no idea what is wrong with King Kell Kaoff. I detect nothing but some sort of corruption going on with the Heltalanis that would point that the once almost dead Demon Slayer's Organization have only been resurrected as a front to a Mindredence attack from the left hand of the Heltalani Organization. It being a justified combat force ignorantly working for a corporate advantage because they are all too narrow-minded to see past their own bloodlust. Even from a mutual businesses' analysis, I see no real outlet for Heltalani success, without a major illicit basis. I am sorry. I am ranting. I have been working on a private story on this. When I discover the depth of this, I promise it will surely enlighten the masses.

TA: Wow, what a spoiler! Speaking of Demaethyl, does he not have a Sect worshiper as a bodyguard?

DM: Yes. Technically Demaethyl's bodyguard, Fann Mordigan, has denounced Sect as his god. I am really not sure why someone would ever denounce their god for no initial reason. I am inclined to say Fann Mordigan may have allegedly denounced his god, but has his god denounced him? Also, Demaethyl can combat armies single handily and can literally watch himself sleep every night. Demaethyl has no need of a bodyguard because everyone is too scared of him. Fann is nowhere near as powerful as Demaethyl, but he is a Seer. I really wonder if a denounced Sect worshiping bodyguard is simply a euphemism for a politically correct Sect worshiping advisor.

TA: That would surely explain a lot. Is there no issue you are not willing to tackle?

DM: The Fallen. You want to get a bite to eat? I swear I could eat a whole human in one gulp right about now. I am just kidding... even though I technically could.

TA: I am a human. Maybe I should decline your offer for lunch.

DM: That's my point. [leaning forward] Mind if I ask you a question?

TA: Sure.

DM: After all that we talked about, do I make you uneasy?

TA: ...Dyre, you are a wolf that walks among us sheep. Is there really such a thing as a "Good Wolf?"

DM: A wolf may not be able to be domesticated and a "Good Wolf" may be hard to believe by some, but there is something we could all agree on: an evil man. It's all the perspective of our times.

TA: And I thank you for your time today, Dyre. It's been a pleasure.

DM: You are very welcome.

Chaos fills Ju'sem

Recently there has been what appears to be a Fallen attack on the Barony's palace in West Ju'sem. We were unable to get a statement from any of the local officials. We have seen a number of Heavens Knights moving into the Palace. The safety of the Baroness is uncertain at this time.

As War Wheels Turn

Much as happened since the invasion of mainland Becorone. The Empire of Coastaar has withdrawn from New Blood lands and now fights to maintain its own borders. The Empire dispatched two of its armies to re-take the fortress now named Castle New B52. General Solocov withdrew at first sight of the Empire's advance. Lord Solvo Ter'ak of the Barony of AEbin was among the retreating parties.

In response to the liberation of the castle, New Blood launched a full-scale assault on Bacven Gate. The armies of New Blood consisted of Sycon's second, Becorone's Royal and a large Mistmoorian detachment. When the armies arrived the gate was not well protected. There was no more than six thousand defending the wall that separates mainland West Coastaar and the lands of Southern Celtica.

General Benett of Sycon's second and General Perci of the Mistmoor detachment took the field with one hundred and thirty thousand soldiers in the initial attack. Sensing the impending fall of the wall; the Gate guard sent runners to warn General Octra of the attack. The runners got to Lord Octra of the empire's forth in time and Octra responded immediately. His army however only amounted to about twenty-five thousand and would hardly be able to defeat such a force.

The gate guard held off Perci and Benett until Reinforcements arrived. Lord Octra arrived in the early morning. His army pushed fast toward the wall. Perci's vampires came over the wall and rushed Octra's line. Octra centered his line around a caster unit and two Empire Mortar units. The caster unit forced Benett back into the gate entrance.

One the second day of the battle King Deago of Becorone flanked Octra from the west. Octra moved half of his line to defend against the attack. Octra joined that flank leaving most of his support to defend against Perci who was suiciding waves of troops onto Octra's line.

Later that day Deago began to bombard Octra with spellfire which dramatically reduced his line. The Day Walkers arrived at Deago's rear flank. They rushed to an advantageous position and began to destroy Deago's caster units. King Deago then turned much of his attention to the Day Walkers.

Lord Octra rushed Deago's line in response to the distracted force. The empire's men focused their arrows and spellfire on the remaining caster units. This crippled Becorone's support for the duration of the battle.

By the third day, Deago began to take control of his rear defenses. Some of Bennett's cavalry was stuck on the south side of the gate. Those units and Deago's cavalry swarmed the Day Walkers. Deago's personal unit forced the Day Walkers to retreat.

Meanwhile back on the line, Octra's mortar units proved to be an outstanding piece of modern technology. The mortars destroyed thousands of Deago's men. However, Octra's line was getting weaker fast. Becorone's infantry is perhaps the best in the world and that was starting to cause problems for the empire.

On day four reinforcements arrived to relieve some of the pressure off of Octra. Sir Red led his men to the east flank of Octra's remaining troops. However, the reinforcements did little to halt the brutal might of the Becorone infantry. Perci's personal flag unit by this time had resurrected some four thousand minions. Minions are superior to most infantry units. Red found this out when he sent his Airclaws to kill Perci himself. The attack failed and Red's men were forced to pull back to a defensive position.

On the final day of the battle, Deago and Perci still held their lines. Octra, though crippled, was unable to for fear of losing the mortor technology to New Blood. Darklorth arrived late into the morning. His powerful personal presences, as well as the might of his army, forced Deago and Perci to retreat into Southern Celtica.

Terrorist Attacks on Shimabora City

Two Star Alliance soldiers (Pvt. Suki Kieye and Pvt. Illowae B.) were being transferred to White Mountain just after the Festival of the Sabbath tournament. They were to be re-evaluated for crimes against the Alliance and tried. However, the convoy transporting them was ambushed by an unknown organization. The two fugitive Star Alliance soldiers escaped with the unknown group of attackers. The Star Alliance Special Forces division reports no permanent casualties from the raid.

The fugitive soldiers were recently spotted in Shimabora City. According to our sources, Suki left Shimabora City shortly after the sighting. Illowae never left the city. She managed to slip out of sight of the Shimaboran guard until Feb 12 1008 AA.

Pvt. Gryslvalisk Aeverdawn of the Star Alliance Special Forces division was assigned the task of finding and apprehending the fugitive Illowae. Within twenty-four hours of obtaining the assignment, Aeverdawn had a lead and was hot on Illowae's trail. Illowae was found heading to the west gate of the city.

Pvt. Aeverdawn directed the Shimaboran guard to apprehend the Elf fugitive. Illowae ran from her pursuers into one of the city's many alleyways. When the Simaboran guard attempted the chase, they were met with a large explosion. Pvt. Aeverdawn continued the chase for about another half hour before losing the trail. During the continued chase, Aeverdawn was met by at least one other explosion.

The explosion's destroyed many buildings and residential houses. By morning, more than 23 innocent civilians were found dead and chard beyond recognition. Some 34 people lost their homes that night. The Shimaborn government has enacted an emergency relief fund for the victims and their families.

In accordance with Alliance records, Illoway is not capable of such destruction. However Pvt. Suki Keiye is. It is believed that Suki is solely responsible for these devastating events.

The next great conflict

The region of Lincoln in Central Becorone has recently been attacked once again. Two imperial navies assaulted the Port of Lincoln with heavy cannon fire. The assault destroyed the dockside before Becorone and Sycon could retaliate. Becorone and Sycon each sent two separate navies to intercept the occupied Imperial force. The counterstrike was unsuccessful. New Blood's forces combined lost about five hundred and fifty naval vessels. Whereas only two hundred of the Empires was lost.

Meanwhile, the kingdom of Mistmoor attacked the region of Borghess in West Coastaar. The vampire force came up out of the ocean killing and burning everything in their path. The Empire of Coastaar was quick to retaliate against their foe. Mistmoor was fast at avoiding the empire. New Blood's forces slaughtered countless civilians in the process. The general in charge of the empire's retaliation force -Lord Octra- moved swiftly to counterattack. They came from the east, striking at the flanks of their vampiric opposition. The Mistmoorians simply sped up their devastating trek through the region, doing all they could to avoid confrontation.

General Cascus of the Empire of Coastaar, is currently rushing to the aid of general Octra. He is expected to arrive within a day or two. At his army's current rate of travel, it is expected that he could arrive in time to cut off Mistmoor's retreat.

The Fall of Kul

Not too long ago, the remainder of the Meoldolin's first army mobilized to defend the region of Da'halgon. The last of the Meoldolin's first army consisted of Da'halgon and Kul's defense forces. Da'halgon was recently attacked by the kingdom of the Fallen. In the western reaches of the township, the first army made its last stand. Most of the defenses were destroyed in the battle including the lord of Kul.

Slim duke of Ral moved his personal army across the border into the township of Da'halgon. There with the remaining men of Meoldolen's crippled first army, they took up a defensive line. All remaining members of the first were ordered by the duke to stand fast and defend the palisade wall of Da'halgon. This left the barbarian region of Kul undefended.

The Fallen army swept clean threw the southland destroying everything in sight. The majority of the citizens were not in Kul when the Fallen arrived. Our sources tell us that Lord Sir Slim had the region evacuated just prior to the attack. At the current time, the remnants of Meoldolen's first and the duke's army remain in Da'halgon defending the border to Ral.
