Titles 1017-1018:

Dagger of Blackwood was granted the title of Blackwood's Ambassador to the East in the fall of R.C.Y 1017. During this time, Dagger, and his body guard Anthem DeVigil, worked toward establishing the Embassy proper within Mythodea.

In the early months of the following year, Sir Shean O'Quinnlin, Guild Master of the Realms Embassy at Bicolline and Lord of Creathorne, granted Dagger the title of Realms Ambassador for the Realms Embassy at Bicolline.

Schwur Feier des Westens 1017:

Dagger and Anthem attended the Schwur Feier des Westens as guests of the West. There, Dagger had his first official gathering as Blackwood's Ambassador to the East; East meaning everything East of the Realms. During the main day of the gathering, Ambassador Dagger worked closely with the Voice of the West, his excellency Jean-Louis. Jean-Louis introduced Dagger to all the right people and by the end of the day everything appeared to be moving in the right direction. However, during a night of drink and revelry, Ambassador Dagger insulted the honor of a Phoenix Reich guest of of Jean-Louis and subsequently Jean himself.

Ambassador Dagger received a letter the next day that all but undid the work of the day prior and demanded that Dagger atone. Ambassador Dagger would spend the next year doing that.

Blackwood House R.C.Y 1018:

The Margrave Balor the Red gifted Blackwood a tower house in his capital of Drachenbrück in R.C.Y 1018. The house has served as a residence for members of the Embassy, Company and the Embassy Guard.

Tomb of Lyra R.C.Y 1018:

In the spring of R.C.Y 1018, the East Blackwood Embassy traveled with House Xarann on campaign. During the campaign, East Blackwood encountered the Tomb of Lyra who's entrance had been found behind a wall in an old tavern. Dagger and Varn explored the tomb for a half a day before finally being able to leave it once reinforcements from the Western Seal came and the Nyame of the West herself cleared the way. The mission was a success as the duo acquired a handful of precious stones known as the Tears of Lyra.

Warehouse on the Black Pier R.C.Y 1018:

In addition to receiving Blackwood House, Blackwood was also given a warehouse on the Blackpier.

Great Road Contract R.C.Y 1018:

Dagger of Blackwood was given a contract by Margrave Balor the Red of Zweiwasser to build the great road from the Barony of Schönweiler in the Southern end of the Realm of Roses to the West over the Westrosen Pass. With the aid of Raelene Skie, Dagger formed the East Blackwood Company out of the Schönweiler region and undertook the massive project.

Convent of the Elements R.C.Y 1018:

Dagger of Blackwood and Anthem DeVigil, Dagger's then bodyguard, attended the Convent of the Elements to represent the Kingdom of Blackwood. Dagger negotiated with the Mitrasperanische Hanse and the Kütschergilde for the rights to do business as the E.B.Co within Mythodea and traded resources on behalf of Lord Protector Victor Kettle at the first Pan Mythodeanische Handelskonferenz or Pan Mythodean Trade Conference.

During the Trade Conference, Ambassador Dagger of Blackwood announced the official founding of the East Blackwood Company.

Having heard of Dagger's work on the road, Stordan von Zackenberg suggested that Dagger of Blackwood take over leadership of the Terra Tunnel renovation that was needed to bring half of Mythodea's armies to the Isle of the World Forge later that summer. This motion was opposed by some who stated that Master Steinbrecher would be better for the job. Hjord, a Mead Trader and Trade Representative of the Münzquell, spoke for Dagger of Blackwood commending his abilities and presenting him as a preferred option for the role of above-ground construction on the Terra Tunnel to the World Forge. Stordan then made Steinbrecher lead of the underground construction site and Blackwood as the above ground lead. Dagger organized logistics, lodging and supply for the mission while Steinbrecher led the tunnel team. Stordan observed the construction work as the project's overall lead.

Also during the Convent, Ambassador Dagger signed the Copperdale Contract which granted the E.B.Co a city district within the City of Copperdale. The Kütschergilde offered to rebuilt the district for the E.B.Co and their offer was accepted. E.B.Co had a stables constructed for the Kütschergilde in their district, the DeVigil manor, a mercenary barracks, a Blackwood and Realms Deputation building and the East Blackwood Company Headquarter Building.

Summer Campaign R.C.Y 1018:

After arriving at the Isle of the World Forge, East Blackwood made camp with Viribus Unitas and the North. Lady Sayeh of Sapphire Isle arrived to support the Embassy bringing with her the Blackwood soldier, Robbert of Hemenshire. While at the campaign, Anthem was heavily injured when the World Forge exploded and Robbert lost his hands in a cultural exchange with the Bracar gone wrong.

All was not lost however, the leader of the Mitrasperanische Hanse requested that Dagger of Blackwood become a full member of the Hanse and in return he, Tares, would join the E.B.Co; Dagger agreed. Lady Sayeh also met briefly with the Seehandelsgilde or S.H.G to discuss possible membership in their organization. Most importantly, the Kingdom of Blackwood and the Realms Embassy received their Embassy in Mythodea at Grain Qui'henya within the Western Seal.

Bluthatz R.C.Y. 1019:

In preparation of the year's upcoming campaigns, East Blackwood embarked on a mission with the Blutpackt deep into the undead-infested Hohld. There, East Blackwood hunted and survived against the Undead Flesh. It was also on this hunt that Varn of CrestGrath was trained to become Captain Varn of the new Embassy Guard unit. Anthem, Dagger of Blackwood's old bodyguard, would be that unit's Commander moving forward.

War in Kal'hatra R.C.Y 1019:

Margrave Balor the Red of Zweiwasser had announced himself as an Archon Anwerter as he worked towards the Archon Trials of the Elements. With the blessing of the King of Blackwood, Kerrel, East Blackwood joined Zweiwasser on the campaign to Kal'hatra. East Blackwood fought in the campaign against the Forsaken alongside allies and friends.

On that campaign, the East Blackwood Company made a contract to move a large amount of weapons and armor, before the Summer Campaign, from the Eastern Seal to a port where Western Seal ships would pick up the supplies and bring them to their Seal to be used in the upcoming campaign.

Convent of the Elements R.C.Y 1019:

To celebrate the grand opening of the East Blackwood and Realm's Embassy, Lady Sayeh of Sapphire Isle founded and hosted a Wine Reception at that year's Convent of the Elements in Bad Holzbrück. The reception was well received. Also during that year's Convent, Sayeh was accepted into the S.H.G after presenting her ship, The Jasmine.

Also during the Convent, Captain Ava of the Tyra Lorena was recruited into the East Blackwood Company as a merchant.

Summer Campaign to Metraton'thul R.C.Y 1019:

In the summer, the armies of the Elements embarked on a journey to the newly discovered-ancient city of Metraton'thul. Within that ruined city was a massive catacomb network of which Graf Beria de Eline led a team of calligraphers to map its interior. The first annual Champion of the Guard Tournament was also hosted with Eridan Swiftblade becoming the Guard's first champion.

During the campaign, it was reported that the West had come under attack by a new enemy, the Skargen. The West gathered allies and the Blutpackt and opened the Gryphon Gate to the Western Seal from the City of Metraton'thul and some 450 warriors passed through it and into the Western Seal. They were met by a similar number of invading Skargen. East Blackwood joined the West on this mission and fought the bloody battle to a bitter victory. Many of Blackwood's number were injured in the fighting.

After returning back to the ancient city through the Gate, East Blackwood concentrated their efforts on supporting Margrave Balor the Red and Zweiwasser. Eridan Swiftblade and Reginald of Sapphire Isle fought in an arena at an ancient Ignis temple championing for Ignis. Eridan was named Champion of Lust and fought for Lady Elane' against the Dragonfly Queen's champion, the beast known to most as the Pestilence Crab. Two warriors from the Realm of Roses lost their lives fighting the beast, one warrior from the Blutpackt did not fight. Margrave Balor fought and survived but with a grave injury. Eridan was the final champion to face the Crab and he was victorious. The beast was finally destroyed and Eridan was known from then on as Eridan Crabsbane.

Margrave Balor asked East Blackwood to be his shield as he tried to kill the Episcorpa. East Blackwood obliged but soon became part of a larger mission with many more champions. East Blackwood still made up the bulk of the line that brought Balor and the other champions to the Episcorpa and, after a hard fought battle, the mission was a success and the Episcorpa lay dead and destroyed on the battlefield.

Feast of Blackwood and the Wedding of King Kerrel and Queen Jinx R.C.Y 1019:

After a successful spring and summer within Mythodea, Ambassador Dagger returned to Blackwood for the wedding of King Sir Kerrel of Blackwood and Lady Sir Jinx of Ufren. Slim and Charles of CrestGrath joined Ambassador Dagger has his guards. Lady Sayeh and Ambassador Dagger presented the court with the work and achievements that had been made over the past two years. Later during the court's proceedings, King Kerrel invited Ambassador Dagger to come forward and kneel before him. Dagger did so and was subsequently knighted as a Knight of Blackwood for his deeds.

Campaign to the Splinterlands R.C.Y 1020:

In the winter of R.C.Y. 1020, East Blackwood embarked on a mission to support a ruler within the Splinter Lands. The mission served as a training mission but the battle was real and bloody. The land in which Blackwood supported on that mission lost most engagements of the day and were repeatedly pushed back until a young warrior of the Wayfarers presented a plan to Sir Dagger and East Blackwood. Sir Dagger agreed to attempt the young man's plan and together the group disappeared into the forest while the enemy pressed ever onward toward the fortress that defended that region of the Splinter Lands. The Wayfarer's plan worked, as East Blackwood fell on the enemy from behind sandwiching them between them and their opposition. Soon after the enemy ranks broke and routed and the day was victorious.

Plague and Famine R.C.Y 1020:

Shortly after East Blackwood's expedition returned to Mythodea reports of plague began to make their rounds. At the same time reports of crop failures came from much of Mythodea with the exclusion of the Northern Seal where the plague was the worst.

Captain Ava's Birthday 1020:

Captain Ava Oddmir sent and invitation out to all her allies and friends to come to Port Odd and celebrate her birthday. Sir Dagger obliged and joined for the festivities.

Nova Bretonia 1020:

Jean-Louis requested the aid of Lady Sayeh of Sapphire Isle in an urgent matter in Nova Bretonia, a Western Seal fief. Lady Sayeh informed Sir Dagger and together a small expedition was formed. It was at this time that the Aieris Portals and Terra Tunnels had become unstable so, East Blackwood traveled by wagon, horse and foot overland. High up in the mountains along the road the ground quaked and falling boulders separated the small convoy into two. Lady Sayeh was trapped on the Realm of Roses side of the pass while Sir Dagger was trapped on the Western side. With time being limited, Sir Dagger pressed on to Nova Bretonia without Lady Sayeh.

In Nova Bretonia, Sir Dagger, Captain Varn, Medina, Eridan, Bødvar and Annabel supported the Western Seal in Sayeh's name. The mission was a success and East Blackwood was awarded an embassy in Triskel, Nova Bretonia. Sir Dagger named the building Sapphire House in honor of Lady Sayeh of Sapphire Isle.

Following the events in Nova Bretonia, Eridan Crabsbane left the Embassy Guard while still its champion.

Training Maneuver R.C.Y 1020:

Sir Dagger and the Embassy Guard, led by Captain Varn and Corporal Annabel, joined Zweiwasser, Zackenberg, Waldesleben, the Nurech'Tuloch and other allies on a training maneuver in the disputed land between the Realm of Roses and the Black Ice. During this training event, the Hackenrose Alliance was solidified with the Kingdom of Blackwood as a member.

Gathering at Port Odd R.C.Y 1020:

Once again, Dagger traveled ot Port Odd to visit with Captain Ava and the Tyra Lorena. There the Navigator of the Tyra Lorena, Thalla Jorah joined the East Blackwood Company as the company's liaison to the Tyra Lorena. Captain Nathaniel Hawke and his first mate Alexander Lawrence joined the company as well.

Campaign to Moringaard R.C.Y 1020:

After learning of the war in Moringaard, Sir Dagger met with Baron von Wasserstein who was among the leading members of the war band known as the Camp of the Light. Once Sir Dagger learned enough about the situation in Moringaard, East Blackwood embarked on a mission there to support the war effort and to make trade deals in the process. The War Marshal, leader of the war effort, requested that East Blackwood take a contract to replace the recently killed Bastion's Watch. East Blackwood accepted the contract and traveled to the site of the Bastion which had recently fallen to an Ork raid.

East Blackwood attempted to create order there and fulfill the War Marshal's orders; however, once the Camp of the Light, or Lager des Lichts, arrived, there were problems. The Baron who Sir Dagger hat met the year prior was not present and his Wassersteiner resented the authority granted to East Blackwood within the bastion's ruins and the taxes they imposed. This resentment was further fueled by Sigmarieten that camped next to the Wassersteiner.

After nearly being killed by another Ork raid, East Blackwood made the decision to deal with the Orks more diplomatically as the war was with the Dead and not the Orks. At the very least, East Blackwood would prevent a two front war for a time at the location of the Bastion. This was seen as treason by the Sigmarieten and their complaints reached the Camp Council. The Council questioned the validity of East Blackwood's position and demanded proof that they did-in-fact work for the War Marshal. Sir Dagger, Thalla and, some of East Blackwood's Embassy Guard left the Bastion to acquire the demanded proof leaving only a few behind to maintain the Bastion's Watch duties.

By the time East Blackwood returned, the mood within the camp had further darkened toward East Blackwood specifically because Orks were claimed to have "roamed freely" within the Bastion. This was not the case and even if it was, East Blackwood was undermanned and could not possibly patrol the whole Bastion the whole time while two thirds of their number were off getting the requested proof.

The Council then met after receiving their proof that East Blackwood was indeed legitimate. The proof was then ripped up however. Shortly after an attack on the Bastion, a Sigmarieten spoke insults and accused East Blackwood people of acting dishonorably and suggesting that they should all hang. Sir Dagger wrote a letter to the Council. After, the Council called Sir Dagger to speak on behalf of the Bastion's Watch. Sir Dagger and East Blackwood met with the Council who decreed that they would strip East Blackwood of their positions as Bastion's Watch, claiming they were undermanned and under trained for the role. After they demanded that East Blackwood also turn over the tax-collection box. Sir Dagger agreed to do so under the condition that the Council signed a letter stating that they demanded it. Only two members of the Council signed the letter.

East Blackwood withdrew from their camp, symbolically placing the red and yellow Bastion's Watch surcoats over their shields stands and then left their camp for an allied camp deeper in the Lager des Lichts. Around this time, the Camp Council temporarily allied themselves to the Orks and together fought the Legio Mortis, the Dead, while East Blackwood watched. Immediately following the battle, there was no further Bastion's watch in place. East Blackwood left the contested lands and reported to the War Marshal what had happened before leaving Moringaard for good.

Blackwood Court at Sapphire House R.C.Y 1020:

At Sapphire House in Nova Bretonia, East Blackwood gathered to rest and regroup after the events of the Moringaard campaign and also to host their first official Blackwood Court. At the gathering Annabel and Bødvar were promoted to Corporals of the Embassy Guard. Djako Kaevh was subsequently promoted to Master Merchant of the East Blackwood Company.

Also during Blackwood Court, Ceallach of the O'Annid, First Spear of Dal Riada, Aire éachta céatcathach from the bloodline of the Macha Mong Ruad, Sperrach Carden,

Slayer of the Wheat-People, took the role of interim Champion of the Embassy Guard until such a time a new Champion was chosen. His reason for this was that he felt that what the prior champion had done was a mark on his honor as it had been Cae who had sent Eridan to East Blackwood in the first place.

Planting of a Sacred Sapling to Open a New Terra Tunnel Gate 1021:

Sir Dagger with the East Blackwood Company and the Embassy Guard, led by Corporal Bødvar, embarked on a mission alongside Zackenberg, Porto Leonis and the Nurech'Tuloch, among others, to plan a sacred sapping near Schönweiler. The East Blackwood Company took over the logistics and supply of the mission which was especially difficult during the famine. The mission, however, was a success.

Summer Solstice in Lunorth R.C.Y 1021:

In the summer of R.C.Y 1021, East Blackwood visited Lunorth for the Summer Solstice festivities. There the Champion of the Guard Tournament was held and Lordas Palatinus won making him the new Champion of the Guard until the next Champion of the Guard Tournament. Many trade deals were concluded and or made during the festival and Sir Dagger, as well as Cae, were invited to sit at the high table at a noble gathering later during the festival. When it came time for the courtly gathering, Sir Dagger closed a trade deal for a gift for the new lord of the local fief and went directly from the merchant to the great hall.

Ceallach, however, was sleeping in his tent. Cae, however, was still sleeping in his tent which was located in the East Blackwood camp. After handing over the Champion's Sword to Lordas, Cae had been permitted to stay as an honored guest. However, when Cae was not woken for the gathering, he took it as a personal insult from Sir Dagger to him and got angry. When Cae next saw Sir Dagger, an argument between the two ensued which resulted in Cae slitting the throat of Sir Dagger.

Sir Dagger was saved and healed by Jinx Kilfrin Funkentanz of the Fae. The day after Sir Dagger, members of East Blackwood, advocates of the Advocates Guild and Ceallach sat together to resolve the matter. Three hours later a simple peace was agreed to. Dal Riadans would not harm East Blackwood and visa verse. The solution was diplomatic in nature but not the desired outcome of East Blackwood or the Kingdom of Blackwood.

Blackwood Court at DeVigil Manor R.C.Y 1021:

Later that year in the fall, Commander Anthem DeVigil hosted a gathering in his family's manor in Coppedale. Blackwood Court was held at the meeting where the Sworn Citizenship of Blackwood was granted to Captain Varn and Master Djako Kaevh by the Legate of the West, Lady Sayeh of Sapphire Isle, and, the Legate of the East, Sir Dagger of Blackwood. During this time the Legate title was presented. If the two Legates are in agreement, they may decide on Sworn Citizenship to the Kingdom of Blackwood. Corporal Bødvar's Sworn Citizenship was granted later at another gathering in Lunorth where both he and Master Djako received their citizenship documents.

Mission to the Herzsee R.C.Y 1021-22:

In the winter of R.C.Y 1021 to 1022, East Blackwood answered the call from Miro Klippenwald, the Naches're of the Roses, to aid him in investigating what happened to his manor deep in the Blue Forest at Herzsee. Sir Dagger and Lady Sayeh embarked on this mission through the deep snow drifts together. At the Fortress of Düstertrutz, one of the Embassy Guard soldiers lost their life after succumbing to cold injuries. The investigation, however, went smoothly at first save for a freak snow storm. The bodies of those who had once lived and worked in the manor were recovered and burned in a pyre while half the expedition went on to investigate the nearby camp of the Circle of Redemption.

While at the Circle camp, it came under attack by a host of Undead. Sir Dagger was the only person from East Blackwood present in the fighting and was given command of the left wing of Rosen soldiers to help fight through the enemy to their Equalibri and destroy them. The mission was a success but bloody and with many losses.

Spring Campaign to the Hohld R.C.Y 1022:

In support of the Margrave Balor the Red of Zweiwasser for Archon of Thorns, East Blackwood deployed with the Realm of Roses to the Hohld to both fight the war against the Forsaken and to support Balor in his bid to become Archon. East Blackwood hosted a mobile version of their "Salty Stick Tavern," run by Marik Fulgrimson and William, and worked to support Balor. Balor, however, did not become Archon.

East Blackwood met with the new Archon of Thorns, Vincent of Sagara and offered the Kingdom of Blackwood's hand in friendship. After some questioning the offer was accepted.

Also during the spring campaign, Marik Fulgrimson was named Man-at-Arms to Lady Sayeh of Sapphire Isle. Lady Anna-Katharina was welcomed into the Kingdom of Blackwood as a sworn citizen as well.

Convent of the Elements R.C.Y 1022:

The East Blackwood Company and Embassy fought slander for much of the Convent. During the Convent, East Blackwood also worked to clear the names of a number of its people. In the process, the Northern Seal was brought to the Western Seal investigation.

Sir Dagger met briefly with the Archon of the North to discuss the possibility of East Blackwood camping and fighting alongside the North in Viribus Unitas at the Summer Campaign. The Archon simply agreed.

During the Convent, after paying back taxes and fees, the City of Copperdale and the East Blackwood Company came to an agreement to expand their district. However, there was no further space to expand adjacent to the original district so, the extension is on the Southern end of the city next to the House of Pleasure. A tavern will be built there and Gideon Klaud will administer the new district extension as Anthem DeVigil's second.
